The Chase and District Museum is seeking a dynamic creative and professional applicants to fill the position of Museum Guide/ Interpreter
Skills and Requirements
Tasks and Responsibilities
~ Assist the curator/ Curatorial Assistant as necessary
~ Promote our online presence by posting on Facebook keeping our followers updated on the progress of our collections assessment and restoration
~ Engage visitors to the museum
~ Process purchases in the gift shop
~ Keeping track manually of stock and taking cash payments for gift purchases in the gift shop
~ Keeping museum clean and tidy
~ Maintain grounds, weeding, watering, sweeping
~ Other related tasks

The Ideal candidate will:
~ Have an interest in History, be outgoing, friendly and engaging
~ Have excellent English communication skills both written and verbal
~ Possess excellent organizational writing and manual skills with an attention to detail
~ Have computer experience using Microsoft Word
~ Excellent interpersonal skills, with experience working both independently and in a team

Conditions of employment
~ Please note that in order to apply you must be registered in the Young Canada Works inventory at https://yound-canada-works.cananda.ca ad that you must be between the ages of 16 and 30. You must also have been a full-time student in the semester preceding the YCW job and intend to return to full-time studies in the semester following the YCW job

8 weeks 7.0 Hours per day 5 days per week. = 30 hours per week Tuesday - Saturday. Anticipated dates of employment Tuesday June 26 to Sat Sept 1 2018
