Resumes and Cover Letters - Letters that Produce Results - Starts at 9:30 am
ALL WORKSHOPS ARE FREE!
Your resume is a selling tool that outlines your skills and experiences so an employer can see, at a glance, how you can contribute to their workplace. Participants will learn to focus their writing efforts and get clear on what to include in your Resume and Cover Letter to produce the results your want!
Additional hours available in the afternoon for Participants requiring additional resume and cover letter development support if needed. If you have a flash drive, bring it with you to save your resume on so you can take it home and edit when you need to!

Dec 21,12  Skills Link Career Program
To Participate in Skills Link projects, you must be:
Between 15 and 30 years of age
Out of school
Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or a person with refugee status
Legally entitled to work in Canada
Not in receipt of Employment Insurance (EI) benefits
In need of assistance to overcome employment barriers
SKILLS LINK OBJECTIVE to help youth facing barriers to employment develop the broad range of skills, knowledge and work experience needed to participate in the job market. This program offers a wide range of activities that can be tailored to meet individual needs and provide more intensive assistance over longer periods of time. PROGRAM TRAINING
$300/week training allowance
6 weeks classroom career path and basic job skills readiness development
Career Exploration
Social Media and Job Search
Interview and Job Search Strategies
SHORT TERM CERTIFICATE TRAINING
Options such as First Aid Training, WHMIS, Food Safe
WORK EXPERIENCE AND JOB PLACEMENT
4 weeks Employability Skill Development through work experience or a community project
$300/week wage subsidy
Successful participants will be eligible for continuing supports for career focused education.
